Bibb County, GA Crash: Motorcycle, Truck Collide Friday Afternoon

Macon, GA – A motorcyclist was critically injured Friday afternoon after colliding with a pickup truck on Jeffersonville Road in Macon, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the collision was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at approximately 2:23 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Jeffersonville and Donnan roads.

Preliminary information indicates the driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling east on Jeffersonville Road and stopped before attempting to turn left onto Donnan Road.

As the pickup's driver yielded to oncoming traffic, a Suzuki motorcycle traveling west on Jeffersonville Road collided with the F-150, investigators said.

Paramedics transported the motorcycle rider to a local medical facility. The sheriff's office said the rider was listed in critical but stable condition Friday afternoon. Authorities are withholding his name at this time.

No other injuries were reported in the collision.

The sheriff's office has not announced whether speed, impairment or other factors are suspected in the crash. The investigation remains active, and officials said additional information will be released as it becomes available.

The collision occurred along Jeffersonville Road in Macon-Bibb County, where investigators were working Friday to determine the circumstances surrounding the impact.
