Community Guidelines
Country Herald welcomes community events, local classifieds, news tips, press releases, photos and story ideas. These guidelines keep the public calendar and community tools useful, accurate and safe.
Be accurate and current
Submit dates, times, locations, prices, names and contact information you reasonably believe are correct. Do not intentionally submit expired events as new, deceptive information, impersonations, fabricated notices or materially misleading claims.
Submit material you have the right to share
Only upload photos, flyers, text or other material you created, are authorized to provide, or otherwise have the right to submit for review and publication. Do not upload private records or personal information you are not authorized to disclose.
Keep listings lawful and useful
Classifieds may not offer illegal goods or services, stolen or counterfeit property, prohibited weapons, unlawful drugs, sexual services, fraud, impersonation or other illegal activity. Spam, duplicate flooding and deceptive lead-generation posts may be removed.
No harassment or targeted abuse
Do not use Country Herald submission tools to threaten, harass, dox, intimidate or target people. Hate-based abuse and calls for violence are not accepted.
Commercial information should be clear
Businesses may submit legitimate events and classifieds, but paid promotions, advertising, sponsored placements and commercial campaigns should be identified appropriately. Use the advertising system when the primary purpose is paid promotion.
News tips are leads, not automatic articles
A submission may be verified, edited, declined, held for review, combined with other reporting or used as a lead for independent reporting. Submission does not guarantee publication or a particular headline.
We may correct, update or remove material
Country Herald may moderate, correct, decline, update, expire or remove community submissions when information changes, an event passes, a listing violates these guidelines, rights are unclear, or the material no longer serves readers.
