Hoffman Estates Announces Fall Curbside Branch Pickup

Hoffman Estates, IL – The Village of Hoffman Estates has announced that its free curbside tree branch pickup program will commence for the fall season on Monday, September 21, 2026. The program is organized by zone, with collection beginning in Zone A. Residents are encouraged to review the official branch pick-up zone map available at https://www.hoffmanestates.org/branchpickup to determine their specific collection schedule.

To ensure participation, residents must stack their branches neatly at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on their scheduled pickup date. It is required that branches be placed with the cut ends facing the street. The Village strictly prohibits tying branches into bundles or placing them in containers. Furthermore, residents should ensure branches do not protrude into the street or obstruct sidewalks.

Public Works crews will accept tree branches up to 8 inches in diameter or 10 feet in length, as well as shrub trimmings and similar brush. Willow tree branches are also accepted provided they are kept separate from other materials. However, crews will not collect tree trunks, stumps, root balls, firewood, railroad ties, landscape timbers, grass clippings, leaves, sod, or general yard waste.

The Village emphasizes that Public Works crews will make only one pass on each street. They will not return for subsequent collections, so residents must ensure their materials are prepared and placed out by the designated time.
