Armed Robbery Foiled at Palos Heights 7-Eleven, Suspects Arrested in Indiana

Palos Heights, IL – Police stopped an attempted armed robbery at a 7-Eleven early Friday, arresting the suspects in Indiana.

A Palos Heights officer observed suspicious activity at the 7-Eleven located at 7600 W. College Drive in the early morning hours on Friday, Feb. 7. Upon closer inspection, the officer realized a robbery was in progress. The officer intervened, which prompted the suspects to flee the scene in a vehicle.

A pursuit ensued, which eventually led to the suspects being apprehended in Indiana with the assistance of local law enforcement agencies.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

“I am incredibly proud of our officers for their quick thinking and bravery,” said Palos Heights Police Chief Bill Stover in a statement. “Their actions undoubtedly prevented further harm and ensured that these individuals were brought to justice.”

The suspects, whose names have not been released, remain in custody in Indiana as they await extradition to Illinois. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
