Coos Bay, OR – A 32-year-old man was taken into custody on Monday, September 7, 2026, following a reported disturbance in the 63000 block of Jerome Road, just south of Coos Bay. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the matter.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies contacted several parties, including Wade G. Brown, during the response. Investigators determined that Brown was allegedly in violation of a court-ordered restraining order. Brown was subsequently arrested on a charge of violation of a restraining order.

The suspect was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he remains in custody awaiting a scheduled court appearance. The Sheriff's Office emphasized that police action is not an indicator of guilt and that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
