KANKAKEE, IL - A faulty electrical supply has been identified as the root cause of a significant blaze that erupted behind Kankakee's Fairview Motel on Sunday, October 22.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the fire, which occurred in a pole building located on the premises. Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames and prevent further spread, though the structure sustained approximately $25,000 in damages.
