Golconda, IL – The Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 7 announced the arrest of 28-year-old Trever Gallamore of Golconda, Illinois, in connection with a fatal all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash in Pope County. The incident occurred on September 12, 2026, when authorities were called to the scene on Waltersburg Road near Rock Road.

According to the Illinois State Police, the Pope County Sheriff's Office requested their assistance after an ATV ran off the roadway. The passenger, identified as 20-year-old Abigail Moore of Harrisburg, Illinois, was unfortunately pronounced deceased at the scene. Gallamore, who was identified as the driver of the vehicle, was transported to an area hospital following the crash and subsequently taken into custody.

On September 14, 2026, the case was presented to the Pope County State's Attorney's Office. Gallamore now faces multiple charges, including Aggravated DUI (a Class 2 felony), Reckless Homicide (a Class 3 felony), and petty offenses for illegal operation of an all-terrain vehicle and improper lane usage. Although he was held pending his first court appearance, he has since been released by the court.

The Illinois State Police emphasized that these charges are not evidence against the defendant and that Gallamore is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information regarding the case is currently available. Authorities continue to remind the public of the importance of safe ATV operation on public roads.
