Greene County, PA Theft: Police Seek Suspect in John Deere Case

Franklin Township, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect accused of stealing a John Deere tractor from a Greene County business last month.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers from the Waynesburg barracks responded to Direct Results at 185 Wade St. in Franklin Township following the reported theft.

Police said the incident occurred around 6:25 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22. A male suspect wearing a mask, hat, jeans and a hoodie allegedly stole a John Deere tractor that had a torn yellow seat.

The tractor had been parked outside on a concrete slab, according to investigators.

Pennsylvania State Police released surveillance images showing a person riding what appears to be a green John Deere lawn or garden tractor with yellow wheels. Authorities are seeking information that could help identify the person involved or locate the stolen equipment.

Police did not provide an estimated value for the tractor or disclose additional information about how the suspect allegedly entered or left the property.

Pennsylvania State Police said information provided through PSP Tips could qualify for a cash reward if it leads to an arrest or helps solve the case. The investigation remains open.
