Inclusive Excellence Advisory Committee outlines recommendations for universitywide framework

Washington University in St. Louis is considering a universitywide framework to guide efforts promoting inclusion and belonging. A committee appointed by Chancellor Andrew Martin recommends four commitments—perspectives, connections, opportunity and culture—along with a permanent advisory board. The proposal aims to coordinate existing work, align it with the university’s mission and ensure compliance with civil rights laws.
