New Hampshire I-393 Crash: 4 Vehicles Collide, Driver Seriously Hurt

Concord, NH – A four-vehicle crash on Interstate 393 in Concord left multiple people injured Wednesday, including one driver who was seriously hurt and trapped inside his vehicle, New Hampshire State Police said.

According to New Hampshire State Police, troopers responded around 8:29 a.m. Wednesday to the crash on I-393 westbound near Exit 2.

Troopers found one seriously injured driver trapped inside his vehicle. With assistance from a Good Samaritan, troopers were able to free the man before additional emergency crews arrived, police said.

First responders provided medical treatment to the seriously injured driver and another driver who was also hurt in the collision. Both were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. State police did not disclose their current conditions.

The crash caused significant traffic disruption along I-393 westbound. The highway was closed for approximately an hour and a half while authorities investigated and cleared the scene.

One westbound lane reopened around 11:02 a.m., with the highway fully reopening approximately 40 minutes later.

State police said all four vehicles and their drivers have been identified, and those involved are cooperating with investigators. Their names were withheld pending the ongoing investigation.

The Merrimack County Sheriff's Office, Concord Fire Department and New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
