Scott County, IA Crash Update: Woman Dead, 3 Children Critical

LeClaire, IA – Three young children remain hospitalized in critical condition after a multi-vehicle crash near LeClaire that killed a 32-year-old woman, according to an update from the Scott County Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's office, the crash occurred Tuesday evening in the area of South Cody Road and West Canal Shore Drive. Authorities identified the semi driver as 44-year-old Martial Wilkerson and the Honda Civic driver as 18-year-old Autumn Hajny.

The driver of a Ford, identified by authorities as 32-year-old Moriah Rosa, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three children, ranging in age from 2 to 9, were passengers in the Ford, according to the sheriff's office. All three remained hospitalized in critical condition at the time of the latest update.

The sheriff's office said Hajny also remained hospitalized in stable condition. The agency's update did not report that Wilkerson was hospitalized.

Authorities have not publicly detailed what led to the collision in the information provided. The Scott County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Team and the Iowa State Patrol Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division are continuing to investigate.
