Snohomish County, WA Crash: 2 Seriously Hurt Monday

Snohomish County, WA – Two people suffered serious injuries Monday morning after a motorcycle and another vehicle collided at an intersection in unincorporated Snohomish County, northeast of the Seattle metropolitan area.

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 6:53 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, to the intersection of Echo Lake Road and 218th Place SE for a serious-injury, two-vehicle collision.

Preliminary information indicates a motorcycle was traveling northbound on Echo Lake Road at what investigators described as a high rate of speed while passing other vehicles in a no-passing zone.

At the same time, a southbound vehicle carrying three people was attempting to turn left onto 218th Place SE, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators said the motorcycle was unable to stop before colliding with the vehicle.

The motorcycle rider and the driver of the other vehicle were both transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Authorities did not provide additional details about their conditions in the initial release.

The sheriff’s office did not report injuries to the other two occupants of the vehicle.

Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit responded to the scene and are examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Authorities emphasized that the information released Monday is preliminary. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and additional details could be released as detectives continue reviewing evidence from the collision.
