The return of UW’s rarest books

UW–Madison’s Memorial Library has reopened its Special Collections after an 18-month renovation, restoring access to more than 300,000 rare books, manuscripts, maps and other artifacts. The collection includes an early German Bible, Audubon’s “Birds of America” and books annotated by Isaac Newton, offering researchers and history enthusiasts a rare look at treasures preserved for future generations.
