Walworth County, WI Plane Crash Injures 3 Near East Troy

East Troy, WI – Three people were transported for medical evaluation after a plane carrying four occupants crashed near Carvers School Road in East Troy on Sunday.

According to a joint release from the Town of East Troy Police Department and East Troy Fire & Rescue, emergency personnel responded Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, to an aircraft crash in the Carvers School Road area of Walworth County.

Officials said four people were aboard the aircraft. Three occupants were transported for medical evaluation, while a fourth person was evaluated at the scene and released.

The agencies did not provide additional information about the occupants’ conditions, identities or where the three people were transported. Details about the aircraft, its flight path and the circumstances leading up to the crash were also not included in the preliminary release.

The emergency response included personnel and resources from the Town of East Troy Police Department, East Troy Fire & Rescue, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department and the Village of East Troy Police Department.

Officials also thanked the Walworth County Communications Center for helping coordinate the emergency response and supporting agencies at the scene. Sky Dive Milwaukee was recognized for providing assistance during the incident.

The Federal Aviation Administration will handle the investigation into the crash in conjunction with the Town of East Troy Police Department, according to the release.

Authorities emphasized that the information released Sunday was preliminary and said additional details would be provided as the investigation is reviewed and more information becomes available.

The crash occurred in East Troy, a Walworth County community southwest of Milwaukee in southeastern Wisconsin.
