Grand Junction, CO – An early-morning overdose call in Grand Junction led to a drug arrest after deputies allegedly discovered heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and evidence of drug sales inside a home.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded at approximately 4:40 a.m. Thursday to a reported potential overdose at a residence in the 300 block of Clarinet Lane.

While two deputies attended to the overdose, other deputies interviewed people at the home. Authorities said 33-year-old Allyson Rayfield allegedly attempted to leave with several belongings despite being asked to remain at the scene.

Deputies placed Rayfield into custody on outstanding warrants while continuing their investigation. During a search of her belongings, deputies allegedly found heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine, along with what the sheriff's office described as a large amount of drug paraphernalia and evidence of drug sales.

Rayfield was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility. According to the sheriff's office, she faces a felony drug charge involving distribution, manufacture or possession with intent, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence and false reporting of identifying information to law enforcement.

Authorities also listed a fugitive-other-jurisdiction warrant and a failure-to-appear warrant among the reasons for her detention.

The sheriff's office did not provide additional information about the person involved in the initial overdose call or that person's condition.

No further details were immediately released.
