Bradley, IL Event Saturday: Wag-O-Ween Brings Costumed Dogs, Treat

Bradley, IL – Halloween is going to the dogs in Kankakee County this weekend as Bradley's third annual Wag-O-Ween brings costumes, treats and a day of activities for local pets and their owners.

According to the Village of Bradley, Wag-O-Ween will take place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with activities involving participating Broadway businesses and the Northfield Square Mall parking lot.

Throughout the day, participants can visit businesses for treats with their dogs. New this year are "Pup Stop Villages" at the Northfield Square Mall parking lot, expanding the event beyond the Broadway corridor.

One of the day's highlights will be a best-dressed dog costume contest, giving owners a chance to show off their pets' Halloween looks.

Registration for the event was offered through Thursday at Bradley Village Hall, 147 S. Michigan Ave. The $10 registration includes a stamp card and entry into a drawing for a prize basket.

Beyond providing an early dose of Halloween fun, the event will support animals in the community. The village says all proceeds will benefit local shelters.

Wag-O-Ween is now in its third year and combines a community event with an opportunity for residents to visit Bradley businesses while bringing their dogs along for the festivities.

Saturday's event comes during the opening weekend of October, giving families and pet owners an early opportunity to break out the costumes ahead of Halloween.
