The Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division is responsible for enforcing state and federal commercial vehicle regulations across Indiana. Its duties include safety inspections, size and weight enforcement, compliance reviews and post-crash commercial vehicle inspections.

ISP said the division also participated in a Labor Day trafficking awareness campaign from Aug. 31 through Sept. 5 alongside agencies in neighboring Michigan, Illinois and Ohio.

Additional enforcement included two weigh-station bypass details conducted with ISP district personnel and federal agencies. Those operations targeted the Terre Haute weigh station along Interstate 70 near the Illinois state line and the West Harrison station along Interstate 74 near the Ohio state line.

ISP said its commercial enforcement operations are intended to improve safety for motorists traveling throughout Indiana.
