Lake City, FL – Local authorities are searching for a missing juvenile who was last seen on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office reports that 15-year-old Daniel Mason went missing at approximately 10:30 a.m.

According to officials, Mason ran away from the campus of the Richardson Educational Center, which is located on SE Pennsylvania Ave. He is described as being 5-foot-8 and weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

At the time he was last seen, Mason was reportedly wearing khaki pants, black tennis shoes, and a burnt orange t-shirt. Authorities are urging the public to report any information regarding his current whereabouts.

Those with information are asked to contact the Columbia County Sheriff's Office at 386-719-2005. Tipsters who wish to remain anonymous may also submit information through the portal at http://www.columbiacrimestoppers.net.
