Oakland County, MI Missing Teen: Sheriff's Office Seeks Help

Pontiac, MI – Authorities are asking for the public's help Tuesday to locate a 17-year-old Pontiac boy who has been missing for approximately one week.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, Jabrale Narajae Brown, 17, was reported missing after leaving his home on Newman Lane in Pontiac on Tuesday, Sept. 15. His family has not seen him since and does not know where he is staying.

Brown is described as Black, approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, according to the sheriff's office.

Authorities said Brown was last seen wearing a white sleeveless shirt, black and green shorts and carrying a blue backpack.

Investigators have learned that Brown has had limited contact with a family member through social media since leaving home. However, authorities said his current whereabouts remain unknown.

The sheriff's office also said Brown does not have a cellphone with him, potentially making it more difficult for family members and investigators to determine his location.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office issued its public appeal Tuesday, Sept. 22, seeking information from anyone who may have seen Brown or knows where he is staying.

Authorities did not provide additional information about the circumstances surrounding his disappearance in the release.
