Cowlitz County, WA – A Kalama man has been arrested following an alleged kidnapping and domestic violence incident that began during a New Year’s Eve celebration.
Deputies from the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a domestic disturbance. Authorities allege that the suspect held his girlfriend at gunpoint, forcing her to accompany him against her will. The situation escalated throughout the night before law enforcement was able to intervene.
The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. He currently faces multiple felony charges, including kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon. The victim was reported safe after the ordeal.
