Fargo Motorcycle Collision Leaves One With Life-Threatening Injuries

Fargo, ND – A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries during a crash at the intersection of University Drive and Main Avenue on September 20, 2026, at approximately 4:14 a.m.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2011 Subaru Forester was traveling west on Main Avenue when it proceeded through the intersection with a green traffic signal. A 2013 Harley-Davidson, driven by a 36-year-old Horace man, was traveling south on University Drive and allegedly entered the intersection against a red traffic signal. The motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of the Subaru.

The motorcycle driver was thrown from the vehicle and came to rest in the intersection. Authorities reported he was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Sanford Hospital for treatment. The driver and passenger of the Subaru, both from Fargo, were wearing seat belts and were not injured in the collision.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Fargo Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, and Sanford Ambulance responded to the scene. The crash remains under active investigation. The driver of the motorcycle is facing potential charges of driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
