Richmond, VA Crash: Motorcyclist Killed in I-64 Hit-and-Run

Richmond, VA – Virginia State Police are searching for a driver after a 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash late Friday on a busy interstate ramp in Richmond.

According to Virginia State Police, the crash happened between 11:20 and 11:27 p.m. Friday on the ramp connecting westbound Interstate 64 with southbound Interstate 95.

A preliminary investigation indicates a dark-colored SUV struck a 2025 Harley-Davidson FLTRX motorcycle, throwing its rider from the motorcycle, police said. The rider, identified by authorities as Ashtain Noel Davis, 28, of Petersburg, died from his injuries at the scene.

Investigators believe the SUV may also have struck a Toyota Camry before leaving the crash scene.

Based on witness information and debris recovered during the investigation, police believe the vehicle may be a dark blue or black 2014-2019 Jeep Cherokee or Jeep Compass. Authorities said the SUV could have minor front- and rear-end damage and may be missing a mirror.

The investigation into the fatal hit-and-run remains ongoing. Police had not announced an arrest or publicly identified a suspect in the information provided Saturday.
