Valrico Man Arrested After Month-Long Gang Unit Investigation

Valrico, FL – The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Gang Unit concluded a month-long investigation into illegal activities on September 15, 2026, resulting in the arrest of 30-year-old Mobin Abraham. Detectives served a search warrant at Abraham’s residence, leading to the discovery and seizure of two firearms, a quantity of marijuana, and various items of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the arrest was the culmination of an intensive surveillance and investigative effort by the department’s specialized Gang Unit. Following the search, authorities formally booked Abraham on several felony charges, including armed possession of a controlled substance and delivery of cannabis. The investigation underscores local law enforcement's ongoing efforts to curb illicit drug distribution and firearm-related crimes in the area.

Official records from the arrest list multiple counts of charges, including three counts of delivery of cannabis, two counts of possession of cannabis over 20 grams, possession of cannabis sativa resin, and two counts of unlawful use of a two-way communications device. Abraham currently remains in custody as the case proceeds through the legal system.
