Kankakee, IL – Kankakee County residents have until Oct. 12 to share their experiences, concerns and priorities through a new community health survey that officials say will help identify local needs.

According to the Kankakee County Health Department, the Community Health Needs Assessment Survey is now open and seeks feedback from people across the county, whether they have lived in the area for years or recently moved to the community.

Officials said responses will help provide a better understanding of the health needs, concerns and priorities facing Kankakee County.

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete, according to the health department. Responses are anonymous, and participants must be at least 18 years old and live in Kankakee County.

The assessment is available in both English and Spanish, expanding access to more residents who want to participate.

Health officials are encouraging people throughout Kankakee County — including communities such as Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, Manteno, Momence and surrounding areas — to participate before the deadline.

Community health assessments can help local agencies gather residents’ perspectives and identify issues that may require additional attention, resources or planning.

The Kankakee County Health Department emphasized that residents’ experiences are an important part of that process, saying community feedback can help officials understand what matters most locally.

The survey will remain available through Monday, Oct. 12.

Residents can access the survey through the link provided by the Kankakee County Health Department at https://qrco.de/bh2eO5.
